As summer approaches, and the gym is packed with individuals trying to work off their winter weight and prepare their beach bodies, author Carmen Carter’s book, “Home Workout for Beginners: Sculpt Your Body and Blast Belly Fat,” is your low-cost solution to weight management.
The author, through personal experience, has created a home workout experience challenging enough to help you lose weight, but with a level of difficulty that’s easily achievable by any beginner that is new to physical fitness.
Especially for those individuals that have limited time or feel self-conscious while attending the gym. By using a home workout program you can exercise in the privacy of your own home, and you can also complete the exercises according to your personal physical limitations. The idea is that exercise should be fun and should not cause you pain, which is what often leads people to discontinue their exercise program. As always, it’s a good idea to talk to your doctor before you begin any type of exercise program.
So, for the beginner starting their workout and time is limited, a warm-up using stretches is extremely important in preparing the body to burn calories. Not a lot of fluff here -- I HATE FLUFF!

As revealed in another review of a book I finished a few days ago, I'm on a quest to start changing my life for the better... One area I really need improvement on is my fitness. I work out of my home and before I know it, I've worked an 18 hour day without even getting up to eat or go to the bathroom, let alone go to the gym and work out. In other words... Like everyone else today, I'm busy and yes... I am an extreme workaholic. For those reasons, I would prefer to work out at home and this book was just what the doctor ordered! This book helped me come up with a very simple, fast, YET SUPER EFFECTIVE work out with some free weights I already had and what I like about this is I can get up from work -- go work out -- cool down -- go back to work feeling super energized. When I used to work out at a gym, I never felt that way afterward... I was always tired and hungry. This time I'm taking it slow... Not doing too much too fast. I'll scale up my workout as I get stronger. I'm staying hydrated. I'm learning about how to better eat for my fitness instead of grabbing a $6 burger all the time. Not a lot of fluff here -- I HATE FLUFF! Just a lot of good, solid information on how to get started working out at home and getting in shape. A good primer with helpful exercises

I've been lifting weights ever since I was 13, the summer before freshman football season. Weight lifting and workouts have been an integral part of my life ever since for the past 16 years.
One thing that really bugs me is how so many people go to the gym and exercise incorrectly, or in general have no real idea what it is they're doing. I am going to start recommending this book to these people. While I am familiar with all of these exercises in the book already, it's an easy read and a helpful primer for anyone who wants to dive in and attain knowledge of the basics. A wonderful guideline for beginners to improve the results of their workouts and avoid injury.
